I know this thread is 4 months old now, but since you didn't get any replies - have you checked for firmware updates?

FWIW Billion UK found some newer firmware updates, its on 5.75 now. Its worth noting that the 5.52 update series are a "lobster pot" update, once you've installed about "e" or "f" it will refuse to take newer (or older) updates, pretty much all you can do is replace it with itself. The solution is to use the recovery tool from the Australian site (and the serial cable) to put it back to about 5.06 then update normally with UK firmware.
Currently its being used as an access point only. As an access point it seems to hold connections reliably provided its not also serving as Router. I'm using a Draytek as router at present.
