Anybody heard of the banana pi?

And no shutter it isn't a cake.

Bout the same cost as a pi B, with additional sata/ir/gigabit nic.
Runs an A20 dual core arm chip.
Will run pi images.
Would make a nice little single sata nas box.

I see there's also a Banana Pro as well, a very nice and interesting looking bit of kit and only 35UKP on amazon.

I bet there won't be as much support for that as there is with the RPi, there's been a few attempts at making a Pi-like device since they cropped up a few years back, but so far they've not been that successful...
Plus looking at the pictures of that BPi, it looks as if some of the components and connectors have been soldered on about as straight as a Banana...
I'll stick with my genuine, UK-made (first batch from the Sony factory too!!) Type B 256MB RPi, not that I actually do anything with it, I just like having it around!!

I will try and get one after xmas, it looks like it might make a nice little low powered server for my media shares.
