Any way to copy Android WhatsApp Messages to iPhone?

Purchased a brand new iPhone 7 and stuck on transferring data to the new phone from LG G4. Apple Move to iOS app can't help in my case. What is the correct solution out there? appreciated.

There certainly wasn't when I moved last year - android backs up to google drive and apple backs up to icloud.
Ended up extracting mine and saving them in Evernote to keep history.

WhatsApp has a native cloud backup option. Enable that on the Android device, allow it time to backup and the messages will be restored when you install WhatsApp on the iPhone.

Android backup can be only restored on Android devices.

What I got from WhatsApp official is that they only offer the way to transfer messages between phones with same OS. If you switched to a new os, then you should figure out by your own. I searched in Google and sorted it out with this tutorial. You have to install third-party app to do that. Just a remind.
