Any news on Youview yet?

Looking through the forum, I see thee was a 3 month trial, which I expect has now ended. I am moving my internet and phone over from Sky and am now looking at what other TV packages are available elsewhere. Talking to a friend that has Youview with BT and they have the channels we have at Sky, but at a lower price. We don't watch sport or movies, so any of those options aren't of interest.
A shame you can't get a subscription through Youview directly really
