Quote Last week, Microsoft announced a series of changes brought to its SkyDrive service, including the introduction of paid plans for new users, and the launch of desktop applications to ease the access to this service.
Starting with last week, new SkyDrive users are being offered only 7GB of free storage, down from the 25GB that were offered before.
The Redmond-based software company claims that over 99 percent of users need only these 7GB of storage for their files, while only 0.6 percent of SkyDrive users require more storage.
For them, however, the company has put in place specific plans that add 20GB, 50GB, or 100GB of storage to the available 7GB. Prices range from £6.00/year 20GB plan to £16.00/year 50GB to £32.00/year 100GB
For a limited period of time, those users who already have a SkyDrive account can opt to keep the 25GB of initially available storage space By signing In...https://login.live.com/login.srf?wa=wsignin1.0&rpsnv=11&ct=1335787386&rver=6.1.6206.0&wp=MBI_SSL_SHARED&wreply=https:%2F%2Fskydrive.live.com%2FManageStorage&lc=2057&id=250206

Word is useless online though as it doesn't allow editing of footnotes. At least the formatting is correct.
P.S. You don't need a Hotmail account to access Skydrive. I use Gmail and have just used that e-mail address to sign up for the service.

Useful, if you don't mind having a copy of all your files on your machine.
