Any experience / thoughts on Vivaldi Browser

Anyone with opinions (good/bad/indifferent): https://vivaldi.com/?lang=en ?

Might give it a try anyway.

I've been having a play, it's replaced Firefox as a secondary browser ATM.

Weird. It uses Mozilla as the back engine, but uses Chrome extensions.

Ahh I was looking at the user agent. That would explain why it uses Chrome add ons.
Pity I prefer FF addons to C ones. The lack of a decent download app in C spoils it for me.

Re: Any experience / thoughts on Vivaldi Browser

Something like Automatic Save Folder in FF. This lets me choose where something is saved dependant on its source/extension etc.
So I can save my linux bits (.tar/.tgz/.deb etc), my M$ (.exe etc), my pi bits in separate folders automatically without having to mess with the default save folder setting.

Re: Any experience / thoughts on Vivaldi Browser

I just save everything to my Desktop, where I can see it.

Wow how many icons do you have on your desktop. I have 3! (In total) I don't like clutter on my screen. (or loads of white space like this forum!)

I like to keep my downloads separated so that the things I have automated will act on them as needed. (like torrents stored in a watch folder)

Re: Any experience / thoughts on Vivaldi Browser

Since I can't edit any options, Vivaldi doesn't seem to have appeared in Debian Stable or Testing repositories yet.

So I'm not installing it, yet.

Currently I have about 10 icons - but usually I have about 4 icons.
