Completely agree with the calls for security essentials.  Most of the others out there find ways to irritate without actually detecting anything more than the free microsoft offering.  A good ad blocker that protects privacy is a sensible addition too Adblock+, Privacy Badger etc...


Best protection is simply sensible surfing in all honesty and not clicking on dubious things but SE is a good safety net.
