Should this forum's scope be extended to include Android given the increased use of tablets by the public?

That's a good idea.  I have Android on both my Samsung devices and have to say I'm not as conversant with the system as I am with windows for example.How about a teach-in?

The trouble with a teach-in for android is the many many versions out there.
But I agree there should be an android part.

maybe the forum should be changed to *nix - android is a flavour after all..

Not really all android is the front end on top of a Linix kernel, not a real distro. The Linux commands are well hidden like Apple
