I recently purchased an item in eary December from Amazon for £24 and have seen it jump up in price to £36 today.

Is this analytics or on-going price rises or new year demand or hype?

It’s just how Amazon goes... prices raise and lower with the competition or just because they feel like.
Often no rhyme or reason.

The '9% saving' is apparently the £29.99 against £32.99 - there's also a further 8% off if you click to apply the voucher.

And for @VileReynard , that's probably all down to savings due to Brexit!
