Amazon Echo Show 5

Just got and installed my two Amazon Echo Show 5’s and so far I’m quite impressed, but it is early in their life so time will tell.

The only thing that I'm not to keen on is the "Try XXXX" appearing on the screen, I thought I'd turned it off but it would appear not.

At the moment the one on the Office desk is playing Telephone Line by ELO, complete with the lyrics scrolling up the screen so I’ve got now excuse not to sing along, and the sound quality is rather good too.

Does anyone else have these?

Re: Amazon Echo Show 5

toyed with getting one as an alarm clock for the bedroom, but haven't researched into how dim the screen goes etc.

They do look nifty though.

The spy in the bedroom?

Re: Amazon Echo Show 5

There is DND setting on it that you can set with an On / Off time, it turns the display off but leaves alarms and notifications on so would be ideal for an alarm clock @dvorak.

My thoughts too. Bit expensive for an alarm clock too.

Ever helpful. Grin Sure, I’d love to help you out. Now which way did you come in?
