Advice on Hijack This log

Hi All,
I have been passed a notebook from a local sports club that I have been doing housekeeping on. Nearly finished. Final exercise is advice on the Hijack This log posted below. Anything I should still look to remove?

Either your Adobe Reader is horrifically out of date, or merely installed to an unhelpfully named directory.

Re: Advice on Hijack This log

From a spot of Googling it looks like the following orphan entries related to Yahoo toolbar and AVG linkscanner, which presumably are no longer installed. Smiley

I suggest exiting your browser, then use HijackThis to remove those two registry entries. After removal restart your computer, and check again that the entries have gone.

Re: Advice on Hijack This log

Your Java is out of date. If you insist on keeping Java at all, update it. Otherwise I'd uninstall it.

Re: Advice on Hijack This log

It's possible to have an up to date version of java 6 - 6u39 and 7u13 were released at the same time.
OpenOffice.org latest is 3.4.1, or switch to LibreOffice. A few obscure features in OpenOffice / LibreOffice need Java.
Edit: java 6u39 is the end of the java 6 updates.

Re: Advice on Hijack This log

I think it supports enabling and disabling wireless using a function key on Dell computers.

Re: Advice on Hijack This log

You need to run software to do this?  Most function keys interact more directly with the computer.
