Can someone explain how to change the setting for my tv from 2.4 to 5 ghz. Cheers.

Welcome to the forum.

You go into your TV network settings and select the 5GHz SSID. However:

1. The TV must be 5GHz capable. 

2. If you have a Hub Zero (2704n) router this has no 5GHz band.

3. If you have a Hub One you must first separate the bands, see https://community.plus.net/t5/My-Router/2-4ghz-and-or-5ghz-best-practice/m-p/1351966#M840

Special techniques not dissimilar to voodoo are used for makes and models that nobody knows..

Dance around the room in a circle three times shouting "TV on, TV on, i like my wifi and TV on"

Then hop on the spot 5 time while spinning round..

Then jump to the TV in one step (if you do it in two or three jumps then it induces a curse upon you instead). When you land in front of the TV you then have to tap it 5 times to signify you want the 5GHz range

Once done you have to finalize the process by unplugging it, counting to 1648 - incrementing the number once every two seconds (so it'll take a while) and then when you reach that last number you have to do the circle round the room thing backwards 3 times.

You should now find that it just miraculously works!

Says the person who didn't tell us anything about the TV in the first place such as the make or model!

I remember when TVs had knobs that made them turn on/off, change channel.  None of this lounging around with a remote in hand.

Better times weren't they, although we got great tech these days i don't like the way society or the country is going.
