I have a strange problem with emails and I am not sure where to look for the cause. I use Mailwasher Pro and Mozilla Thunderbird for my emails.
Every so often, after I hit the "process mail" button and the emails come into Thunderbird, I find that the text of the email has been wiped. If I am quick enough, I can go back into Mailwasher whilst the email is still showing and see the text in the email.
Does anyone know is this a Mailwasher problem, or is it Thunderbird which is at fault?
Also, I have recently had a phone problem and have been receiving emails from the PlusNet technical staff. I have noticed that I can read the text of the emails in Mailwasher but they appear in Thunderbird as attachments. The attachment is not the normal Word one but has 3 icons (red, blue and green) on it and I have to save it to my hard drive and then select the program to open it with. Is that normal?

Nobody has answered this; I guess nobody uses Mailwasher Pro.
My guess would be too much bleach in your mailwasher (i.e. Mailwasher Pro is playing up). But it's only a guess. Maybe Mailwasher has technical support or a dedicated forum where you could ask your question and get a better answer?

Thanks both! I had, of course, thought of contacting the Mailwasher folk about this, but wasn't sure if it was anything to do with Mailwasher, or whether it was Thunderbird doing it. I came here first, just to check if anyone else had experienced it. I will check that I have the most up to date version of Mailwasher though - good thought!

Just an update. I downloaded the new version of Mailwasher but the problem continued. However I found, on the Mozilla Knowledge Base, that blank emails can be a side effect of scanning by anti virus. They listed a few AVs that are compatible with Thunderbird and the PC Tools that I was using was not listed. I have now uninstalled PC Tools and am trying Avast which is listed as being compatible so, hopefully, the problem is solved.
