A short life, but a happy one

Well, I've only been here a few weeks and made a few (hopefully helpful) posts but I'll be off soon. I asked for and received my MAC today.
I've recommended PlusNet and already got one referral signed up and will continue to recommend them.
BUT one of the "more reputable" ADSL2+ providers turned on their service in my local Exchange earlier this week much to my surprise, and I've found the lure of 20Mb+ downloads and 1.3Mb uploads irresistible at a relatively small increase in charges.
I'll see how it goes; if the promises aren't fulfilled, as Arnie said "I'll be back".  Roll_eyes

I am not a number.....  Grin
I also checked out 21CN availability on my exchange - Q2 2011 it says! So the LLU providers (and Virgin, we're cabled) have got easy pickings for quite a while.

Careful there you would not want to use up all your smiles in one post  Grin

Will do. I wasn't sure what will happen to my membership once I stop using PlusNet.  Undecided

Unlike the old forums, at present you do not loss your posting rights on the Community forum, however this may change in the future.

Re: A short life, but a happy one

Thanks chillypenguin. I'll definitely post back then.
My new supplier (not sure if I should name them or not...  Lips_are_sealed ) have processed my MAC and scheduled the activation (switchover) - just haven't told me the date yet  Cheesy (email in transit?).
Next step is to get hold of a filtered faceplate for my NTE5. Current download estimate is 20Mb but I want to get as much as possible.  Wink

Please don't Be afraid to name them.
Also post up your current line stats, ie sync speed and noise margins, so that we can compare them to your new ones.
