Got to dig it out but I think I have an HP unit that used a common caddy for different uses, still got the CD

Looks like I'm stuffed then as far as this DL4-Z variant is concerned. I'm going to have to ask more questions of suppliers before I buy another, though God knows its hard enough finding these UJDA360 drives in any form leave alone getting the right interface. I'll have to ask "Does it have an standard interface?" and hope that the supplier knows what I mean.

But if you can get a "bare" drive, is it possible to remove the "contents" from the old unit and replace them?
A bit like you do with laptop IDE hard drives that often used to come in a removeable unit with proprietary conectors, but inside was standard.
(more modern ones are usually standard SATA)
