Was just wondering if anyone has managed to get YouView / Plusnet TV working using a pfSense box as the router. We've just signed up and I'd rather keep pfSense, rather than switch down to the PN router / find an alternative!
Thanks in advance,
Daniel

Thanks for the links - I've already come across them but thought no harm done posting here on the off chance

EVERYTHING on the YouView box works without fiddling with pfSense 'IGMP proxy', etc.
Not having the Plusnet package of additional channels, I can't comment whether there are routing issues with those.
Certainly all the standard catch-up players work as expected, as does the Netflix player, and the "scroll back" channel guide.
IF there are pfSense 'IGMP proxy' issues with Plusnet TV (using current pfSense v2.2.6), it may be worth waiting a few weeks to upgrade, as the imminent pfSense v2.3 is (today) 95% complete and already includes the updated and latest revision of the 'IGMP proxy' (see 'Todo #4672'), which reportedly resolves issues with IPTV.

So.... After having pfSense and YouView working perfectly for quite some time, I've been meaning to post up what I did to get it working. Of course the parent's were happy, I wasn't getting any grief and had other things to do... This weekend I did a update on the pfSense box, and it promptly stopped working.
Cue much frustration at my earlier lack of documenting what I'd done to fix!
After battling with it most of last night I gave up and came back with a clear head this morning. I'm now almost there with getting it working by following: https://forum.pfsense.org/index.php?topic=74126.0
However after a few minutes I get the dreaded IPC6023 error. Restarting the IGMP Proxy service on the pfSense box and it springs back to life! I had this just before I got it working last time around, and managed to find a patched IGMP Proxy that didn't crash every few minutes.
Sooo I'm now off to hunt for that file! (As an aside, I *think* the issue with the IGMP Proxy has been fixed in pfSense 2.4+, however I'm currently stuck running 2.3.5 from a USB stick as having recently moved out I don't have the stuff here to reinstall the internal SSD and nanoBSD support has been dropped in 2.4)
I'll post up again if / when I find the elusive file!

OK, Ignore what I said about IGMP Proxy crashing... Changing channels also kicks it back into action. *Goes to dig through firewall rules*

OK, looks like I've been a double numpty. Forgot to check Allow IP Options on one of the rules. Fingers Crossed...
