Watch HD Channel

The Watch Channel was a good addition recently, but I wondered if there were any plans to bring its HD equivalent to Plusnet TV?

Re: Watch HD Channel

Actually, I thought BT Vision had Watch HD but it seems not.
Guess this wont appear any time soon. Oh well.

Sky appear to no longer see Virgin as too much of a threat (Assuming since the deal where Sky took all the content producers from them...) e.g. Virgin have all the Sky Sports as well as all the BT Sport. (Best of both, really) - Just a shame it isn't available everywhere! Smiley They're more intent on stopping BT as they're quite intent on buying up content that Sky has held for many years. (Like the premier league)
It seems more and more content is being added though to BT TV / PN TV - So I guess it's fingers crossed Smiley

of course this is the usual conspiracy theory that is always trotted out, and it is, of course, utter nonsense.
channels are free to sign up to whatever carrier they wish to.
no-one forced UKTV to sign a carrier deal with Sky at the time.
just like Film4 decided to sign up exclusively with Virgin when they went HD.
it was a commercial decision for Channel 4.

Indeed, except by this point Virgin had sold their stake in UKTV?
Channels are only "free to sign up" to a carrier of their choice, when there is no carrier involvement in the channel, or its operations. (Why would they bite the hand that feeds)

Correct, Commercial decision by a (reasonably) commercial independent broadcaster. Worth noting that the exclusivity didn't last forever and Sly eventually got their grubby paws on the channel anyway.

You're more than welcome to your opinion.

not to sky though.
so your obvious anti-sky agenda kind of falls apart there doesn't it.
