Plusnet tv

Good afternoon, since plusnet has discontinued youview boxes can I use any youview/freesat box with plusnet? As I've only got the standard youview box from plusnet but want a recording box?

Re: Plusnet tv

You can buy any Freesat / Freeview recording box such as a Humax box to record TV.

It won't have anything to do with Plusnet though, it will work completely independently of that.

Re: Plusnet tv

I'm not convinced that's the case.

Plusnet are continuing to suppy the subscription channels (for the moment) to anyone who already has a TV subscription. Although not officially supported, it's always been possible to replace a Plusnet box with your own and for it to continue to receive the subscription channels

I dont see why that would change UNTIL they actually withdraw the service to existing TV customers rather than, as at the moment, just not supply any new boxes.
