Re: Looking at cancelling BT Sport?

@Gandalf

Is there any updates on how to pause or cancel BT Sports?

I am unable to raise a ticket or get through to customer support despite registering as a vulnerable customer.

Re: Looking at cancelling BT Sport?

Hi Bhaz

What "doesn't apply to plusnet customers"?

We pay plusnet who continue to take customers money without giving a service.

plusnet are a communication company with whom you can't communicate and who seem completely uninterested in addressing their customers concerns.

As I have said sky contacted its customers first and offered to suspend their sports subscription, which is a damning indictment of plusnet's attitude to its customers in what is a difficult time for everyone.

https://www.bt.com/sport-support-options/?s_cid=con_FURL_sport_support

As Plusnet are owned by BT, we can but hope this will be extended to Plusnet customers

Re: Looking at cancelling BT Sport?

I raised a ticket last week and got this reply - although only just found it as I didn't get a notification email!

"Thanks for getting in touch with us

We cannot put BT sports on pause but we can remove it for you so you dont get billed

You can add it back on whenever you want in future again"

So I've asked them to remove it whilst stating that it's strange they haven't implemented an easy way to do it as we're paying for a service they're not providing.

Re: Looking at cancelling BT Sport?

Thanks for that, I am surprised that if that is the case then Plusnet have not informed those of us who have been asking this very question.

Additionally I don’t know if there is an additional cost in “renewing” once you have cancelled BT Sport.

There must be hundreds of Plusnet customers in the same situation paying for a service that is no longer being provided, I would have thought that Plusnet would at least take the lead on this to help its customers, surely this must be being discussed by the management?

Re: Looking at cancelling BT Sport?

https://www.plus.net/wizard/

I get an option to open a ticket at the above URL. THough it did take a while to get my request actioned as they are clearly short of staff.

I also got a response of help on Twitter after a week of posting. Nothing is happening quickly but their silence and lack of direction it is quite shameful.

Re: Looking at cancelling BT Sport?

And from there I picked the VAT invoice option and then requested the cancellation of my BT Sports app subscription.

Not strictly the correct methond to empoly perhaps, but it was successful in the end 🙂

Re: Looking at cancelling BT Sport?

I suggest a further two options: contacting the ombudsman at
osenquiries@os-communications.org or emailing the CEO
andy.baker@plus.net
There must be many hundreds of us frustrated by this issue

Re: Looking at cancelling BT Sport?

Perhaps one of the Plusnet help staff can answer.

do we all individually have to send in a ticket to cancel out BT sport and secondly, are there any additional costs once we renew ourBT sport once things are back to normal please.
