Internet channels not working

I have lost my internet channels.

They have been working fine, but I moved my box from the bedroom down to the main TV in the lounge and now they have gone!

I have been using it in the bedroom for a couple of weeks to make sure it does everything before I remove (and cancel) my sky box.

All seemed OK so I moved it - and now IPTV lost.

Tried turning off router, then box as the booklet - no good.

The settings-->broadband page says connected to the router and the internet.

What's happened?

I should have said that iPlayer and ITV Hub work fine - so internet is OK

Hi @colinc, I am sorry to hear this.

 

Can you confirm how you are currently connecting the Youview box to the router? Is this direct via an Ethernet Cable or are you using a Powerline adaptor and if so, what model are you using?

Fix

Connected via PowerLine by Zy-Xel and an unmanaged switch.

But it has fixed itself - heaven knows why, but all working.

The only minor problem left is that the NOW TV app only seems to connect to movies - I only have the Entertainment Pack.

Otherwise a pretty credible alternative to SKY and much cheaper.

I'll mark it resolved.

Connected via PowerLine by Zy-Xel and an unmanaged switch

Having a switch between the router and the YouView box is not a good idea unless it supports IGMP snooping, at a minimum it will cause the IPTV multicast traffic to be broadcast to all devices connected to the switch causing unnecessary LAN traffic .The Youview box needs to be connected directly to a LAN port on the router via cable or Powerline adaptors.
