I think I have a compromise.

It's been mulling over in my mind for ages now and the £5 hike imminent for BTSport has added impetus to my decision.
It's not that I can't afford it but I think the cost of BB & Phone with PN and TV with Sky inc sport but no movies is astronomically high. (makes the BBC licence seem like a bargain) I have therefore been looking around for the best options.
1st option was to go the whole hog and move to BT TV, BB & Phone. but I'd lose the sport from sky except two SD channels. But it's a whole lot cheaper.
2nd option was to move BB & Phone to Sky but the price after re-enrolling with BT Sport is pretty similar to current option.
3rd option Status Quo.... untenable!
However, there is a fourth option and it's been staring me in the face all along.
Stay with my sky package and move my BB & Phone to BT and take up the BT Sport offer. Okay, it's not massively cheaper but a saving nevertheless in the region of £20pcm. Add to that the fact I can watch online/iphone/ipad too which we can't with PN's BT Sport.
Thoughts anyone?

Re: I think I have a compromise.

Hi Word Warrior, There are some good cashback deals with BT at the moment ( due to end soon )
http://www.quidco.com/bt-broadband/?st=bt&tr=108&fn=index&fr=top
http://www.topcashback.co.uk/bt_total_broadband/
Sky also have some good deals for existing customers

You could ring Sky ( assuming your out of contract with them ) tell them your thinking about leaving, unless they can offer you something really good, and in return  you bring your phone and bb to them.
I know a few sky customers who have got 50/75% of their package for a number of years with half price line rental and free bb
Regards
Mike

Ha!
First hoop/hurdle encountered. You cannot move broadband and Phone to BT (from plusnet) without cancelling BT Sport on plusnet first  Roll_eyes
Cancellation initiated. Anyone know how long it takes before it kicks in? You'd have thought that they were different companies  Crazy
