Fox / Fox HD leaving

Hi
I see that  BT have confirmed that Fox is leaving BTTV, and therefore - as Plusnet is owned by BT - Plusnet too.
Can you confirm if this is the case and what, if anything, will replace the channel on Plusnet's lineup?
Thanks.

Re: Fox / Fox HD leaving

i see murdoch now that the legal spotlight is no longer on him has gone back to his old ways
various criminals back in the jobs they had and rumours of bskyb monopoly buy out surface
so not surprising fox gets pulled from bt
very short notice too and half way through many series

Re: Fox / Fox HD leaving

Hi all,
To confirm, we will also no longer be providing Fox and Fox HD.
The reason for this change is that Fox has changed the way in which they offer their TV channels to TV providers such as ourselves, which means we can no longer provide them.
We're also emailing customer about this in further detail.

TalkTalk can still provide it though, so i assume they don't receive the channel the same way you do ?

Although I suspect the answer to this question is no, does this change in channels mean a change in contract and, therefore, a chance for us to break contract penalty free?
The only reason I ask is that I took pn IPTV up specifically for Fox and now it is next to useless for me.
Rick.

I believe that question will be answered in the email that will be going out to our TV customers.

hmmm....
fox broadcasting=> Founded October 1985; 30 years ago by Rupert Murdoch and Barry Diller
parent 21st century fox +> ceo rupert murdoch
so bit baffled why you think it's nothing to do with him
and clearly they want bt tv to fail as it's a direct competitor to his other company, just in the same way that they are trying to damage the bbc

Re: Fox / Fox HD leaving

I suspect the "change in delivery" is Sky Fluid which is their own Wifi TV service, which I imagine is their own dongle system.

Re: Fox / Fox HD leaving

For those who seem to worship mr Murdoch, and those who are anti conspiracy (I am usually the latter), this is blatently Murdoch / Fox posturing....
He openly plans to buy the remaining 60% of Sky that he doesn't currently hold via Fox.
First thing to do, is to remove channels and content from anyone who isn't "Sky", this is just the beginning
