BT Sports app

I subscribed to the discount BT Sports app today. I've viewed the service via the bt sports website on my laptop. Is it possible to watch bt sports via my youview box? The channels are listed but the screen reads"extra channels from plus net, sorry...error...BTV-437" and there's no option to login.

Re: BT Sports app

You'd also need to subscribe to Plusnet TV to be able to watch on Youview,

https://www.plus.net/tv/

https://www.plus.net/tv/btsport/

And IIRC Plusnet won't allow you to use your own/existing YV box and only with one they supplied. I'm sure a member of staff will confirm if that's the case or not

Re: BT Sports app

I have a youview box but not supplied by plusnet. Doesn't look like I can access via youview then. That's poor. I guess I'm going to have to use the app on my phone and find out how to display on my TVs. Nothing's ever straight forward. Thanks.

Buy a Chromecast would be my advice.

Re: BT Sports app

@number9scores  You can get the app for Windows and run it on a PC connected to your TV. I've got it running on Windows 10.

Not strictly true.

The 'problem' is that there's no mechanism of ordering the service/channel subscriptions without also ordering a set top device.

You could, in theory, order the service with the basic YouView Box (£6.99 up front) then use your existing set top box once the service is activated.

Re: BT Sports app

Hi, can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?
Signed up for the BT sport app yesterday and got the confirmation email from Plusnet.
Following the link in step one of the seven steps to register but once I've entered my details and click continue it says there is an error?

It says Ref# CON-0003 at the bottom?

Thanks for your information. I will try it.

Chromecast is great. I like it, you can find more about it.
