BT Sport - Plusnet

Have Plusnet Fibre Optic and receive speeds of 11mb/sec and happy with it.

Rang Plusnet to add BT Sport - this would have been ideal but no Plusnet won't let us add the sport unless we have speeds of 15mb/sec.

Only option then is to move to BT (still on 11mb/sec) and they will let us have BT Sport.....................

Surprised this is an issue as Plusnet is a BT Company.

Can't we the customer decide what is okay for us? We currently watch Sky streamed via NOW TV and comfortably watch HD with the speeds we run on.

Re: BT Sport - Plusnet

Assuming this is in relation to BT Sport over YouView unfortunately the 15Mbps limit we put as a requirement for the service is to ensure the multi-cast works correctly.

Although I appreciate and understand it's frustrating, if we were to sell you the service on that understanding and then the TV service stopped working correctly, I would think you'd be more frustrated with us for providing a (Contracted) service that no longer worked as expected.

I think (Could be wrong) BT are able to get around this with their IPTV alternative that they can provide, which used to run their old BT Vision/BT TV service.

Re: BT Sport - Plusnet

That's a shame.

Frustrated and obviously an enforced move is on the cards.

Disappointing as we've been happy with Plusnet and don't want to move on that basis.

Hey ho.
