Any recommended switches for IPTV

Obviously getting used to the new IPTV service from plusnet.. However my current switches do not work with the youview when watching IPTV as it causes a broadcast storm over the switch and kills the rest of the network.
I need a gigabit switch which supports IPTV and preferably unmanaged if possible, any recommendations?

Re: Any recommended switches for IPTV

My router is connected to a cheap TP-Link 8 port gigabit switch, thence via a couple of homeplugs to an even cheaper Tenda 5 port gigabit switch, into which the telly and youview box are plugged.  No problems with multicast flooding. Have you got " IGMP Snooping" switched on in the router? That is supposed to filter the multicast stream only to those devices requesting it

Re: Any recommended switches for IPTV

I'm using the plusnet sagem router as I couldn't get IGMP snooping to work on my netgear even though I've followed different guides for it
I've got a couple of tp link switches which are gigabit so I'll give them a go.

Re: Any recommended switches for IPTV

I'm using a Netgear 5 port 100Mb at the TV end and a Tenda 8 port gig switch at the router. Not had any issues
