Re: What are 'Pretty dates'?

It's where the date column in your message list contains days instead of dates for mail received during the last week.
e.g.
Thu 21:18
Sat 01:25

Instead of:
01.10.2008 13:46
30.09.2008 21:18
28.09.2008 01:25

Re: What are 'Pretty dates'?

Well - wonder who thought of that one? It's a bit ambiguous IMO. What's wrong with just Date Settings?

Re: What are 'Pretty dates'?

"Pretty Dates" is the traditional term for this day-name date-format style though it could also encompass an age-related style like '3 days ago' or 'last March'. I've no idea how the term came about.

Well, you learn something new everyday. If it stays in I'm sure there will be lots of other folk who will query it.

Re: What are 'Pretty dates'?

Pretty Dates for Date Settings is stupid, I see that it has been removed.
