Remembering users and password

Edit - I should try the same mailbox  Embarrassed
Why doesn't Firefox offer to save the information the same way it does on the normal webmail

Re: Remembering users and password

Peculiar. I've just compared mine and I've emails going back to 2008 in both and a quick glance suggests the folder contents are the same across both platforms. What happens if you search the Sent folder for the subject line of the emails in Squirrel?

I'd imagine it will be something to do with the attributes of the login form itself.
I've just stumbled across this Greasemonkey script though that seems to add this functionality. Once installed you need to access the script options and add 'http://betawebmail.plus.net*'  (minus the quotes) to the included pages section.
Judging by this we can also enable an option to switch this on natively. I'll ask around and see if it's possible.

Doesn't do so in IE either - and another annoyance is that it asks, every time, whether to display "only secure items!

If you mean the login page, the adverts are coming from an insecure connection.

Something we're aware of. You'll find Google Chrome complains about this too and actually suggests the site is not properly SSL encrypted (it is).

Re: Remembering users and password

Normally when I log on to a new site I get the firefox option of remembering my password, this works for everything else except roundcube web mail ? so I need to insert user name and password every time I use it. The normal plusnet login is ok it remembers that.
Apologies if this is a issue to some other program rather than roundcube mail.

Is this seen as feasible (perhaps alongside updating Roundcube to Release 0.7-stable)?

Re: Remembering users and password

The other login frustration for me is that on Chrome (and Firefox) there is no option to Remember Login Server. As I'm on Force 9 I have to remember to change it every time as well as type in my login details.

Re: Remembering users and password

Hi,
just remember this is still in beta. If there is something we can do about it once it's fully operational then we will.

Re: Remembering users and password

Hmmm...
Switch over to the new version and then get a load of users complaining who were used to the old webmail remembering the username/password.
Not the smartest move!
Edit: Especially if they post on here and we point out that the problem was known about ages before Roundcube went live.
