"Hardware dispatch pending" - how long does that go on for?

Switched to Plusnet Extra on 17/5 and paid the £4.99 postage for the router - which hasn't arrived and still shows dispatch pending. How long does that normally go on for?

Normally despatched a few days before you're due to go live.

Why?
I've had an order open for 10 days, but still no router sent to get lost in the post.
I know it's not due to go live for about another 10 days...
but how long does it take to put a router in a box and give it to the postman?

i believe they like to do it just in time, as to why not got a clue.
