Hi folks, I'm sure I can't be the only user who is thinking about setting up new web based services.
The two I'm interested in currently are a wiki and PGV the family tree database, one for work one for pleasure.
So I sat down to start looking at how to do these.
Whilst attempting to discover how to set these systems up, and coming across problems such as my current cgi does not support php 5.2 but only php 4.3.1 (why is plusnet so far behind the curve?), I've noticed several other people are attempting to do the same sort of thing.
So given that there is a demand would it be possible in this new virtual world (unlike the old virtual world that we had twenty years ago on mainframes?) to have these services dished up for us (like we did 20yrs ago), at say some small additional charge, but less than moving to PAYH multi MYSQL system.
It would not need to be much because we would be sharing them.
