dns: spf on free-online.co.uk

There seems to be no spf record for free-online.net:

dig plus.net txt:

...

plus.net. 85276 IN TXT "v=spf1 ip4:208.74.204.0/22 ip4:46.19.168.0/23 include:msgfocus.com ?all"

...

dig free-online.co.uk txt

Nothing!

As a long standing user, my emails still come in under free-online.co.uk, so can this please be fixed?

Niels

Re: dns: spf on free-online.co.uk

Hi there,

SPF is used for validation when sending emails. This is to ensure that mail has come from a designated server that's listed in the SPF record.

It only has an effect on incoming mail if the recipient service does SPF validation checking. If SPF is not advertised, then it's ignored.

Re: dns: spf on free-online.co.uk

Note that Plusnet customer email has the domain username.plus.com, not plus.net. There's no SPF record for Plusnet customer email either.
