You haven't occidentally ticked "Always use private browsing mode" under Options -> History have you Jim?

Might all this be simply down to the buggy nature of FF46 as reported elsewhere in connection with this (lithium) forum?

One starts to wonder if FF is fit for purpose? t

Is the cookie that livechat stores considered to be a third party one?

Allowing third party cookies didn't fix it

However I have checked back and I think it is related to Firefox 46 as it all worked before it was released at the end of April

Chat works fine with FF 46.0.1 for me. Windows Vista 32-bit.

I used it yesterday, got through straight away.

There hasn't been a rush of "me to" replies so this doesn't appear to be a widespread problem.

Update

Removing all sites from Accept Cookies from Sites - exceptions and it works

All the Plusnet sites are set as accept so does anyone know which sites it uses for Chat related cookies

Sorted

I started Chat in IE11 and selected print from the IE11 Menu and the print showed

Checking my blocked cookies and it was there. Removing it and chat now works

There are two things coming out of this

The error message should have been more specific and the reason I had blocked it was that another site also used it

Now why couldn't Plusnet staff pointed this out as I requested in the previous post
