This web page (community.plus.net) - what's it doing?

I use Apache in local mode only - i.e. I don't support any external web pages.
Yet I have loads of entries in my Apache logs that say

What does kidzui-safe-browsing-for-kids do?
The relevant web-site says:

Am I being supplied with malware by Plusnet?
I don't want any kiddyware.

Looking at the source, it should be trying to get that from www.facebook.com
You've not blocked www.facebook.com by setting it to localhost in /etc/hosts have you?

I was blocking facebook - by sending it to 127.0.0.1
Back in early July, Plusnet also wrote an article in early July about this kidz thing which captures a lot of personal information.
Plusnet seem very proud of their blogs; probably that's why the page takes so long to load.
I've unblocked everything and it now seems to work better - I never use these social networking gadgets.
I realise I'm still going off and retrieving all this miscellaneous rubbish that Plusnet put on the community.plus.net home page.
But at least I won't be keeping a log of it.
