Thank you PC at Plusnet!
On Saturday I attracted the unwanted attention of DLM and my Plusnet line speed was reduced somewhat.
When the synch speed was back to normal that later evening I raised a ticket to get the line speed increased back to normal expecting somebody to look at it on Tuesday at the earliest.
I was rather surprised to receive an email on this Bank Holiday Monday from PC letting me know it had been dealt with!
