That would most likely be me!
Here's the raw view of the latest, posted on a Monday in 1797, as downloaded to Thunderbird.

Re: Service status RSS feed

Forcing regeneration of the feed file didn't fix the problem so I've edited it to get the dates right.
It looks like the times I entered have got mixed up between GMT and BST, but let's see if it behaves now.
David
Edit: GMT/BST problem corrected.

Edit: The issues being reported don't strike me as being synonymous with the change we made yesterday but we've reverted it none-the-less. Keep your eyes peeled and shout up if you notice anything else untoward.

The feed problems don't appear to be connected to the change Bob mentioned there, so it's being applied again. The real cause of the problem is still being investigated.

Re: Service status RSS feed

The cause of the problem with dates turned out to be changed behaviour from one of the date conversion functions on 64-bit PHP systems. Using that in a different way fixed the problem. Service-category information recorded in the file was omitted for some posts - this problem has also been fixed.
The RSS service-status feed (status.xml) was regenerated with the correct information around 40 minutes ago. Smiley

Great work David, thanks for taking the time out to troubleshoot. Everyone else, shout up if you notice any more oddities (you shouldn't do).

Re: Service status RSS feed

Oops - a totally unexpected (to Plusnet it seems) event occurred overnight and this morning I have 20 new postings in RSS which appear remarkably similar to previous postings except that the time stamp is an hour different! Of all the feeds I'm subscribed to this is the only one that has had this problem.
I also received one duplicated service status email.

Re: Service status RSS feed

The script generating the feed is still not right:
From the copy of the source in reply #26 (before clock change):

Source for same item now:

I'm not sure which one is wrong.

Re: Service status RSS feed

The second one is wrong because timezone +0100 applied on that date in this locale. The Plusnet pages don't specify BST or GMT though the inference should be whichever applied on the publication date and not the current date as is happening at the moment.
The status processing job has also added 20 new entries into the database table, each timestamped 3600 seconds after the existing ones.

Re: Service status RSS feed

Same thing happened here. Hoping to fix it with a little timezone tweaking on the new server...

Re: Service status RSS feed

Plusnet have done the tweaking and I've regenerated the status.xml feed file. Item Publication Date elements seem OK again.
