Reverse DNS giving away my plusnet username!

Yeah, so I went to this site:

and discovered that unknown to me, plus net has been providing my username as part of the reverse DNS string on the internet. Can't this be turned off? Why on earth would anyone want to broadcast their ISP username to all the sites they visit?

Do require a static IP? If not the easiest route is to change to a dynamic IP.

You can get the reverse DNS to username turned off but I think you have to raise a ticket

Yeah I have mine switched off, there is a specific path through the help assistant.
