Re: Price Increase!

The increase doesn't affect broadband, I believe?
I expect BT will have similar increases.

Re: Price Increase!

BT normally gifts its customer with increases at Christmas!  Roll_eyes
But saying that,They might not increase anything this year as they seem to be using PLusnet for that... and currently it looks like to me like BT might be returning to its days of no offers and standard pricing... which is good if the service complied with that.

Re: Price Increase!

I voted stay-put, primarily because I don't want the hassle of changing my static IP group. As stated elsewhere I don't use BT/PN for outgoing calls for my business as their charges out of package are outrageous, so you can keep costs under control.. However, I don't recommend PN any more. Above inflation increases are difficult for me to justify to friends/clients.
Now Zen, but a +Net residue.

Re: Price Increase!

I'm seriously considering moving - first time I've felt like this since signing up.

Quote from: Salmo
My LRS runs out at start of December. I used to renew early to get it just before the price increase but I've been thwarted this year by PN bringing the increase forward. Therefore I voted for the leave after LRS expires. I will start to look around in October to see what is available. It may be that the others have put their prices up by then because ISPs seem to operate as a cartel.

Also my situation.
I voted leave after LRS expires. I will certainly be closely examining options.
My LRS expires in December but each year I have been renewing up to 3 months early at the earlier year's price. This year the price rise will be one week before the 3 month limit. I won't be buying LRS at the new price as the savings do not outweigh the flexibility to leave. (I will be out of contract for broadband in November).

Re: Price Increase!

In a year when my 18 months is up will consider the future on how things stand then as regards the poor customer service I had at the beginning from Plusnet letting BT/OR run rings round them, and the then future prices.
I'm not against going back to Sky as Sky certainly made BT/OR jump to my aid with next day visits.
