200,000+ ?

Try over 500,000!
This graph shows the number on line - there will be a lot of people who only turn their router on when needed so the total number of users will be much higher than the peak shown on here.

Re: Plusnet is the most unreliable broadband provider ever.

When Karmarama won PN's advertising account in June, 2010 the stated customer base was 200,000.  It's unlikely they would have grown to half a million in 18 months.
The account at the time was worth £20M across all media.

Re: Plusnet is the most unreliable broadband provider ever.

So how do you explain 200,000 customers accounting for 470,000 simultaneous connections?

Re: Plusnet is the most unreliable broadband provider ever.

I think earlier they doubled their subscriber base from 100K odd to 200K in 4 months
so quite possible.

500,000 subscribers, I wonder how many are registered for these forums, and how many actually regularly post, seems to be the same regular few, apart from the occasional ranter !

Re: Plusnet is the most unreliable broadband provider ever.

When did Madasafish customers get assimilated into the Plusnet numbers? Could that account for at least some of the growth?

Hello
I joined plusnet on the 4th of Jan 2012, and now have cancelled on the 6th because the internet service keeps going on and off.
And now they want me to pay for cancelling  the crapy service they offer. Well I will not pay for a service I never enjoyed for 1 hour.
They are officially the worst thing that ever happened to the UK broadband service.
New customers pls don't join plusnet because it will be one of the worst decisions of your life.

Not just this forum, but often first posters don't appear to read replies to their rants.
They certainly don't like it when shown to be in the wrong, quite often a simple search of a forum, or Google will answer their problem, and the correct procedure to ask questions ( ie Tickets) of the ISP etc.
Myself, and I'm sure the majority of others here with queries, have had their questions answered promptly and efficiently by directly contacting PlusNet staff either by ticket, or by the excellent Technical help phoneline.
First posters need to lurk a little. See my sig.

There is also the Vodaphone customers as well who will increase the figure further when they come on board.

BT took over Madasafish around July 2007. Assimilation in to the Plusnet network was not that long after.

Thousands disagree !

For me as a newbie to PN and after an appaling signing up period to PN service, the jury is still out.

@gstrickland
If you let us know the problem you have had we will be more than happy to look at them and arrange relevant feedback or make changes to try and stop things happening again if we can?
If there are problems ongoing please raise a ticket as usual of course and if you do have any issues let us know on here so our digital care team can see what they can do for you!
@alanf as soon as we acquired Madasafish they have been included in our customer base figures and the soon to ex Vodafone customers will be joining that list too.
