New community news isn't being entirely accurate

Line rental from £10.99 per month (paid annually, otherwise £14.50 per month)
Nowhere does it state that the normal line rental includes weekend calls whereas the LRS doesn't

Re: New community news isn't being entirely accurate

The old cricket bat would be somewhat straighter if LSR gave the same service / package as paying month on month gives.  Given that it now does not include weekend calls, it is arguably likely to be more expensive than paying month by month after taking into account weekend calls.
£3.51 (the difference between LST and monthly charge) spread across 4 weekends per month, is unlikely to cover the average cost of weekend phone calls.  Just grateful that I am on a legacy LSR package.

Re: New community news isn't being entirely accurate

BT has ' free weekend calls'  included with their LRS product but it is £141 whereas Plusnet charge full weekday tariff for non-inclusive weekend calls at 8.41p per minute.
If you make more than 40 minutes of weekend landline calls in a month with Plusnet it is no saving to go onto LRS as per tariff effective on 01 October 2013.
It calculates at even less than above if more individual calls are made and factor in call setup charge of 13.87p per call.

Re: New community news isn't being entirely accurate

That comparison isn't relevant as you can add evenings and weekends to LRS for £1.50 per month or £18 per year which is significantly cheaper than making 40 minutes of weekend calls per month and is arguably better value than the BT LRS where you have to add £2 per month to get evenings and weekends
