Madasafish transfer fee

Why is Plusnet charging so much for transfer? i work in the web hosting industry and its always been free to transfer .uk domains.  Also can i add when i called madasafish up they said there wasnt going to be a charge.

Hi danger11,
We must apologise if anyone did advise that such a fee would not be applicable but I'm afraid it is the case. With regards to the amount of the fee, this is mostly determined by the fact that as an ISP hosting is not our primary business for the Plusnet or Madasafish brands, therefore the pricing may not be as competitive as some dedicated hosts.

i have decided to speak to nominet instead. there fee is usualy around £15.
