Re: Is one of your email servers blacklisted

The avasouts look to have would up on Spamcop's RBL Sad
Fairly sure it's going to be related to a callout that was made last night due to a compromised customer's account spewing out junk messages and filling up our mail queues (ref: 81214).
We'll get something raised to have it addressed...

Thanks Bob
I won't try to send the email again until after the Bank Holiday as it won't be read until then in any case

Re: Is one of your email servers blacklisted

Trying again may well work as I don't think all of the avasouts have been blacklisted. It's going to take about 24 hours to get the naughty servers de-listed though Sad

Re: Is one of your email servers blacklisted

The affected servers have been taken out of service for the weekend so the customer-facing aspect of this particular quandary should be no more Smiley

Nice tactical solution - good out of the box thinking - like it!  Cheesy

I thought there are limits on the number of addressees / volume rates at which emails could be sent to avoid this kind of activity?

Re: Is one of your email servers blacklisted

As far as I can remember the restriction is the number of addressees on a single email (tar-pitting) not the number of individual emails in a specified time
Of course I could be wrong

There are, however it's not foolproof and the limits are somewhat relaxed where SMTP auth/Webmail is being used I believe. I've been off for a couple of weeks and have only just caught this reply else I'd have elaborated on the specifics of this particular problem. The Mexican sunshine appears to have had an affect on my short term memory though Grin
