Incorrect information on website - loss of home phone numbers

To advise those who can fix it that on this page:

https://www.plus.net/member-centre/offers-and-upgrades/choose-broadband

which is presented when looking at (ADSL+POTS) to FTTP conversions it states:

Broadband without a landline

  •
  • You will lose your home phone number and will not be able to get it back. You'll have to get a brand new number if you decide you need a home phone in the future.

This is incorrect and misleading.

It is OFCOM requirement that the landline number is portable and can be reclaimed from 'quarantine' and applied to any 3rd party VOIP service within 30 days.

This is setting a trap so that if people to say they want to keep their number it results in them being slammed over to EE.

It certainly is wrong (illegal?) information, which PN  have been advised about previously, @mwwagain  - but thanks for high-lighting it.

Will they change it? - maybe about 2030, if we are lucky.

Re: Incorrect information on website - loss of home phone numbers

I have a 14 day clock ticking

Then a formal complaint to PN

Then OFCOM.

Up to BT/PN if they want to go that route, or correct their website

I can do this as I am still ADSL+POTS* so it is me being mislead as of today.

* By choice, FTTP is available.  For now the PN FTTP is more £ for less service, while the EE slam route is even more £.
