Impressive! Upgraded to fibre with no problems! Better speeds too!

I just want to say thanks for the easy, painless upgrade to fibre broadband!
I noticed a new cabinet appear near my house, waited around a month then tried my luck at upgrading to fibre extra! I called up and was given all the information I needed as well as informed that I should get pretty much 80/20 with it being a new cabinet and the distance from my house to the cabinet. Around a week later an engineer came, made some changes at the cabinet, came back and I was up and running!
The only problem I had which was quickly sorted out by plusnet was my account not changing from ADSL to Fibre, but a quick call to plusnet with very little waiting time and a supervisor authorised the change which took around 10 minutes to take effect, then boom! Superfast fibre broadband from plusnet!
I haven't noticed any disconnects and gaming and watching movies is great! No more buffering when streaming movies and large downloads take minutes instead of hours!

I've seen your posts and hopefully BT enable G.INP for your connection. That's my only worry, once more people hear the cabinet is there for Fibre, I'm guessing they'll all be wanting faster internet around here! I'll advise them to stay on ADSL if they ask me for advice lol

Yep, got really excited when green cabinet popped up near my house too, Was told by BT I was first to get fibre and managed 38mb speed, but as more and more people jumped on I now get 31 to 33mb, still happy.
