Many routers report large attenuations as 63.5dB as it was once the limit at which BT would supply any broadband.
So 63.5dB doesn't mean much - except that you will have a slow line!

The Sam Knows test has already been done shutter:
Quote
You are connected to the Peterborough Central telephone exchange.
ADSL is available in your area
Your exchange is also enabled for ADSL Max services
Your exchange is also enabled for ADSL2+ services
According to BT Wholesale, your phone line should be able to support a 0.5Mbps or greater ADSL connection.
Standard ADSL RAG results
You cannot receive 2Mbps ADSL
You cannot receive 1Mbps ADSL
You can receive 512kbps ADSL
You can receive 256kbps ADSL

So 512k is the max there, which is old standard broadband speeds, I don't think they will be able to go above 500k? ADSL2, would switching to that improve anything?

ADSL2+ will not help at all at that distance, it may well be worse. Sad
A fixed 512 service might make more sense eventually. Upload would be somewhat slower but it would be more stable.
If the wiring was sorted out you might even get fixed 1meg. But all that is for later.
What type of cable is used for your extension wiring?
