Re: Fed up with router return bags!

Chris have you checked that other users are not complaining that returns bags they are supposed to be getting have not arrived? It appears that all the returns bags being requested are being sent to Jason.

Re: Fed up with router return bags!

Hi Jason,
I'm sorry to say we've missed the post today so can get them out tomorrow, but as suggested by w23 above it'd be fine for you to use one of the bags to send the others back to the warehouse?
@jelv - not as far as we know, we've not had any complaints about any going missing. Good call though, and we'll keep an eye out.

Re: Fed up with router return bags!

I've not seen any complaints (apart from Jason's obviously) regarding this sort of thing.

Re: Fed up with router return bags!

I'm puzzled by the principle here.
Does the PlusNet supplied router have to be returned if we leave?

No

Will you be sending your router back when your contract is over?  Cheesy

That was a joke!

But!
What I don't get is why/how PlusNet have router return bags anyway. Or do they want faulty ones back?

Re: Fed up with router return bags!

It's for when wee RMA a router.
We'll send out a new router with a bag to return the old one to the warehouse to be disposed of.

Re: Fed up with router return bags!

As a suggestion, could you not just change Jasons address on your system to Plusnet Towers then get the bags sent to yourself until this is sorted ?

Re: Fed up with router return bags!

I can sympathise with Plusnet. A few years ago I managed to empty all four A4 paper trays of the printer at work thanks to a small programming error. So much paper.  Embarrassed
Bonus, there was possibly a time saving from printing almost 10 years worth of forms in a few minutes.
The ironic bit is that it was part of a "going paperless" initiative. After that, a PDF writer was set as the default printer in case of any similar development problems.

I suggested going paperless when I was working as an IT Manager for a stationery and filing manufacturer Wink

Note that the high court have made it clear that this sort of thing is covered by the Protection from Harassment Act 1997. They have also made it clear that rubbish/naff computer systems that are acting with a mind of their own are no defence. See Ferguson v British Gas Trading Limited [2009]. Plusnet really should be offering some compensation at this point.
