Faults, complaints, repairs & success...................whee......

I recently had to contact Plusnet because my connection speed dropped from 35 mbps down to around 4 mbps - eek..... The BT speed system also showed that the max line speed had dropped from 37+ mbps down to around 20 mbps. Admittedly it took a few phone calls to start the repair system up, but I eventually had three visits from Openreach who found that the main input wires from the green cabinet to my house had been badly damaged whilst emerging from the access manhole in the street. This was duly fixed ( after the poor engineer had to spend about 5 hours outside in the freezing cold). Using the "Which" speed check system my speeds are back to 35+ download and 6+ upload - excellent. Whilst Plusnet are still continuing to monitor my system I thought their efforts worthy of thanks. There appear to be a number of complaints on line, but very few messages of thanks.
