Re: DNS servers failing

Google down...BT down...Twitter down...Plusnet up. No mention of it on site.
That'll be the no nighttime support cock-up we all predicted.

Re: DNS servers failing

Not true.  This looks like a routing issue.
Google.co.uk is not accessible
Plus.google.com is accessible
Might well be out with PlusNET.

Re: DNS servers failing

Great. I thought it was an issue at my end and there for tried everything I could think of relating to my router, browsers, network adapter and even going to the last resort of a system restore.
Which of course, somehow ended up making things worse when it received an error and now I have to manually go into task manager, end the explorer executable process and then run it again to see the desktop.
Not a great start tonight I have to say.

yeah i'm gonna hit the sack now too.. .pesky internet lol.
3G is cool when it works, 4G is alarmingly quick.. but they're so intermittent sometimes when you need them to work the most. 3G is blazingly fast compared to 56k and i can happily live with it but its not the most reliable way to connect..

even going to the last resort of a system restore.

Why on earth would you do that for an internet failure? - you're creating trouble for yourself by poking at shadows. If a router restart doesn't fix it then it's an issue further up the line. Stop tinkering with everything else or you'll make your situation worse!

Re: DNS servers failing

Getting the exact same thing, loads of sites like Google. BBC and the like won't open.  Tried switching to Google DNS but it's still the same.

Re: DNS servers failing

Been having broadband trouble for several hours. Some sites load, others don't. It's even worse on my wifi enabled devices. Rebooted the router and it helped a little but not much. Changed DNS but no joy. Guess we'll just have to wait it out.
