Concerns regarding speeds (namely PSN/XBL/iTunes, etc)

Guys,
I, and the rest of the staff here are fully aware that a number of you are reporting poor speeds over about the last week or so, notably on downloads and streaming from the PlayStation Network and XBOX Live.  This will also include iTunes downloads, Rapidshare and Microsoft Updates.
Bob recently updated service status to let everyone know that our Network Capacity is still in an "Amber" state, despite having added 2 additional 155Mbps segments of central capacity.  We had hoped this to fix the problem whereby a number of customers were experiencing poor speeds when trying to use traffic we classify as within our list of Download Sites and Servers.
Over the course of this week, we have seen adverse weather conditions, including a further couple of inches of snow overnight here in Sheffield.  As a result of this a large number of our customers have been working from home.  The impact of this has been a large increase in the amount of Gold traffic during the day and early evening.  This is down to more Web and VPN usage.  This has meant that whilst we have done everything that we can to ensure that Gold traffic remains working at the best possible level, speeds on Download Siters and Servers have been heavily impacted.
We have a plan in place to ensure that our advertised speeds on these forms of traffic are being achieved, but we will only be able to do this during normal network conditions (ie: when it's finally stopped snowing!).  Please do bear with us during this rather strange period and rest assured that we're taking this extremely seriously.
Thank you for your patience.
