Re: Brand and Reputation Risk from Greenby Email Migration

I joined Plusnet over 20 years ago, after my previous ISP decided to close. PN had a good reputation and the broadband came bundled with email, web hosting, and domain handling. Until the recent deterioration of email, I've always had good support.

However, the communication from Plusnet over what is going on has been terrible/non-existent. I found out about the migration through the community forum (which is an excellent resource, by the way) because of all the issues with the email service over the last few months. I've never had any communication from Plusnet that this was going to happen, or that it is currently happening, or whatever. I'm not alone - I've seen a lot of people on the forum mention they've not heard anything either, and those are just the ones who take the time to visit here.

I don't quite know what to make of the migration to Greenby yet given I've not been moved over. I acknowledge email and webhosting is no longer something most ISPs want to deal with, I appreciate they could've just shut it down rather than outsource, and I can understand that migrating services over to a third party is not always straightforward.

To be honest, I'm worried about what happens when I do get migrated. Are the problems with email going to get worse? Is Greenby going to provide the same level of support that PN has in the past? On the other hand, it does mean moving away from Plusnet is going to be a bit easier if this is symptomatic of a general decline of the company. I can't really tell at the moment, but I do fear the worst.
