Blockable phone numbers - VOIP system applied to normal phone line

Is there any way to apply the system as used by BT for their VOIP calls to normal phone lines

Yep,
Funnily enough, I had been reading up on that no more than 30 mins ago before even reading this post.
It noted that BT call baring was available via short codes for land and VoIP lines, but online functions were only available for VoIP.

Log into your VoIP control panel, then select Call Barring from the menu.
It takes a bit of work, and it takes a bit of getting your head around, but you can create your own rules on what calls are allowed and what aren't.

Oops, sorry. That's for VoIP and you're asking about the wired line. Pretty certain there's nothing for that.
