BE half their prices - Plusnet to follow ????

Just doing my normal trawl of rubbish on the web and noticed that BE have halved their VALUE package price.
Its now £7.50 for 8mb and 40GB downloads.

Are Plusnet planning on following suit, they have always provided value for money in the past so wondered where their plans may take us?Huh

Cheers.

A small note – they've not really halved the price, as the previous Value product used to offer unlimited downloads. Bit of a pain actually as I've been eying Be for some time, but 40GB (considering there's no free overnight usage) isn't enough and I don't think there's much chance of me paying their prices for their more expensive products. Huh

Re: BE half their prices - Plusnet to follow ????

you should get 3 months at £5.99 then if you are in a Market 3 it stays that, if not its £11.99 - you can find out your exchange details here http://www.kitz.co.uk/adsl/adslchecker.php

* - Plusnet Value broadband starts at £5.99 a month for the first 3 months. If you live in one of our low cost areas you'll then pay this price every month. If you live outside of one of these areas you'll then pay £11.99 a month thereafter.

Hmm? As pierre_pierre said, it's those who are in a market 3 exchange that get the cheap pricing.

The emails are screwed - it's a known problem. As you are market 3 you will pay £5.99 for Value.

I'd have thought you should get the first 3 months at the lower rate before it rises to the price for Market 2 (again I don't think the emails make that very clear).

Yep done some digging and get 3 months at £5.99 and 9 at £11.99.

So does anyone know if PN have any plans to drop their prices.  Would be just my luck after I have joined  Grin

BE don't appear to offer free overnight download though - I start all my OS upgrades and telly downloads just after midnight then go to bed.

You are quite right, they don't.  If you dont download things and just use the web for browsing then things like price are more important.

I would like to add to this. There NOTHING more offensive than a price quoted as "from"
when it is impossible to get it.  Im still on BBYW2 but O2 pricing certainly looks
attractive in my area.    Angry
